How lucky that we have two crystal birthstones this month! We sure can’t miss the royal piece of Opal. This luxurious crystal's name is derived from the Latin opalus and the Sanskrit Upala meaning ‘precious stone'. The Ancient Greeks, on the other hand, described it as ‘to see a change in color’. Ages ago, the Australian aboriginal tribes also believed that it was the Creator’s footprints on Earth.

The rare Opal has always been associated with love and passion, as well as desire and eroticism. It is a seductive stone that intensifies emotional states and releases inhibitions. It can also act as an emotional stabilizer. Wearing an opal is said to bring about loyalty and faithfulness.
